historic home

Originally built in 1912 as luxury apartment homes of a bygone era, the Historic Home has been re-imagined and completely transformed into a full-service, independent boutique hotel through an incredibly delicate process, ensuring the building will retain its charm but also offer guests the accommodations, services, and amenities expected by modern travelers.

MODERN GUESTHOUSE

Inspired by Mies van der Rohe’s 1959 townhome cooperative at Detroit’s Lafayette Park, the Modern Guesthouse features contemporary design elements intended to reflect the character of the historic home rather than compete with it in size or scale. The beauty of the contrast allows guests to feel simultaneously rooted in character and enchanted by curiosity.
